I've just been on the Vectis website this morning and seen a Palitoy 30 back Yoda in the next auction, what kind of league is this in on a rarity level, I can't remember seeing one before, they have a price of £1200 but surely it will go for more!!!

There is also a TRI-logo hybrid Cloud Car pilot which is very hard to find. The condition is not brilliant but I would imagine there are a few people out there that want that figure !

I would love to bid on that Yoda, but afraid it is many UK high rollers that are still missing this item.

I except the Yoda is going to go for silly money.
Also selling another Chewbacca and Luke Palitoy 12 backs.
Isn't that 3 of each this year that Vectis have auctioned?
It really makes you wonder if there are boxes of these.
When I was collecting the Palitoy first 20 I think I only saw 2 Chewbacca for sale in 7 years and 1 of those I bought.
Really makes you wonder how many more Vector have coming up in future auctions?

With the recent price on the 30bk Fett and the publicity it got I think everyone is jumping on the Palitoy wagon now, so a lot of people are coming out the woodwork.

Some of the prices have dropped like a stone. The Greedo Palitoy. Didn't one sell for £3k, then the month after £800? Lando about £1.5k, next month £600? I'm going to put a few bids in which are the max I'm happy to pay the night before, sleep, and wake up to see how it went. Hopefully it won't get too silly and I win at least 1 thing.

Lol, I think you're kidding yourself. You can't just use one unrepresentative price as your benchmark and then when the next one sells for less say prices are dropping like a stone.

Someone clearly got completely carried away with the Greedo, perhaps because it was unpunched, and went nuts and paid way over the going rate which is nowhere near £3k. It was probably that gormless American with more money than sense. £800 is maybe a little lower than the going rate, but it's not a bargain price by any means. For the Lando, I'd have thought £600 is bang on the money, no discount there and the £1.5k is way out of line with what others have sold for at Vectis.

When the FX7 sold for £7k and then the next one for £2.5k had prices dropped like a stone? Of course not, £7k isn't the going rate for an FX7. There are always one-off prices that are out of the normal range but they should be considered exactly that, one-offs.

From what I've seen prices have held up really strongly considering how much stuff has been for sale recently.

True, but I didn't mean they'd dropped like a stone overall, just from some of the mental prices a few months back. Even some minor items like 12 back DSC. This shows a price decrease from the early part of the year.

I'm pretty sure they'll be coming down further in the future

I bought my MOC 30 back Yoda from Vectis for £50 two years ago!

(the name plate was cut out though!)

Prices are often dictated by how desperate two bidders are for obtaining the item and with focus collectors also after Palitoy items this prices unpredictable.
