Gutted for you mate - packed with the wrong weapon as well

I wonder if it worth sending to AFA and getting them to Grade it with the wrong weapon ?

Would that qualify for a U grading since it's obvious that it was sealed until this happened, I don't like ugrading, but I don't think this comes into the category of it being bad.

I'd leave it as it is and if possible shuffle it back into the bubble or at least upright so it can be displayed. Is still a cool oddity.

With experience you realise that those miscard bubbles aren't meant to travel :(

Sorry Slim..not much you can do on this one, in all honesty I'd just break it out of the case, slide the figure back in and put it in an acrylic case. At least it wouldn't look so miserable flapping about in the AFA case like he does now.

As for value, that's a tough one. It's obviously never going to be as valuable as it was when it was sealed but it's definitely still worth something and at least in this case you can prove with pictures that all parts are original if you were to sell it on in the future.

I'd say if you put it back together it would probably be worth about £60-80 which is reasonable given the damage. It could still make a nice display piece for someone who couldn't find or couldn't afford a sealed one.

Bad luck :(

thanks for the words chaps  , i had sold this to another collector / forum member and even though it was very well wrapped this happened , when i bought this graded moc myself i was going to break it out of its tomb " now i wish i had " . you can do nothing to stop this happening with graded mocs and as another forum member already posted can these grading firms not attach an extra piece of acrylic to strenghen the bubble area ESP in the case of these miscards which use finer / weaker bubbles !

i cant even bear to look at it to be honest , if anybody wants to buy it pm me

Slim I'd speak to Mark (Spookedhippie) - he would probably like to pick it up for his Ree Yees focus if it's going cheap!

I wonder if this piece could be resubmitted to AFA. Say under the Q-Tier and maybe ask them to just simply place the figure back in its bubble and place it back where it should be. Then ask if AFA will put in some extra protection acrylic round the outside of the bubble like they do with some Uzay MOC's all tho I'm not sure if they will consider this since the bubble is fully detached. If they do you could have them mention it in a COA that the bubble has become loose. but its still a very displayable Miscard.

Might be worth a try, who knows. Shame as its a nice item.

Grant.
