Han Hoth COO Reference guide:

IMG_20150224_210317.jpg

Time for the introduction to the next little guide. A great little figure, one I always liked. Ideally suited for a loose COO variant guide due to the extensive range of Leg colours, moulds, COO variants.

First appearing on the Empire Strikes Back 31 Back card.

Here's a nice shot of the 31 Back card I used to own:

Features a number of COO variations, Hong Kong, No COO etc.

Big thanks again for all the previous hard work done by Wolff on his excellent site, "Variant Villain". Please check out his great website for a comprehensive range of variant figures. Donation made to site for ongoing support and use of photos :D

As always, if anyone has any other variants to add to the guides, please feel free to update the reference guide. If any Focus collectors have collections they wish to add, that would be awesome.

This is a big variant to show, so please bear with me as I compile this guide. I have a number of different COO variants on the way and will update the guide as often as possible.

COO Family updates:

Small Hong Kong COO......Updated on page 4.
Large Hong Kong COO...Updated on page 3.
Made in Hong Kong COO....Updated on page 3.
No COO.....Updated on page 4
PBP No COO....Update on page 7.

Probably would have been easier if I had thought of these guides when I had some of the figures variants....
Here's a few pictures of the Han Hoth variants I put together about a year ago! Features a nice few figures and different cardback...including a Pink face, scarred leg figure.

Hong Kong COO families:

Thanks to aussiejames for his help in relation to the 3 Hong Kong COO families. I currently have an example of all three as highlighted. Here's a couple of pictures of the variants:

Belt sculpt:

Having been educated in relation to the difference between belts on the figures, I have taken a couple of close up photos. The 5 Line, Made in Hong Kong figure (Shown below in the top box) has a couple of distinctive sculpt differences compared to the 2 Line, Hong Kong figures.

First up is the noticeable bumps to the right of the buckle compared to a full pocket on the 2 Line, Hong Kong figures.
IMG_20150225_125711.jpg

Next, the pocket on the left side of the buckle is a lot larger and Squared off then the 2 Line, Hong Kong figure.
IMG_20150225_125852.jpg

Finally, the Made in Hong Kong figure has a six sided buckle compared to five on the other figures.

Large Hong Kong COO figure:

The Large Hong Kong figure comes with a distinctive sculpt difference. The thumb on the right hand is a lot larger than on the other variants.

Scarf sculpt variations:

There are a couple of differences between the scarf sculpts on the figures. The Made in Hong Kong figure has a 'Ruffled' knot compared to the 2 line knot on the other Hong Kong figures.
IMG_20150225_140021.jpg

Can be seen a bit better here. Made in Hong Kong figure on the left this time:
IMG_20150225_144933.jpg

The Large Hong Kong COO figure features a difference to the rear of the scarf. As opposed to a large fold it has a single fold in the middle of the scarf.
