Some of you may kinow me from RS and IOP.

Been collecting a few years now.

Started out collecting all things Palitoy.

My main focus at the moment is cardbacks, trying to collect the whole palitoy cardback matrix. Currently have 363 unique cardbacks with an esitimated 62 to go. Been branching out into non Kenner foreign cardbacks as finding new palitoys is getting harder.

Also have a growing 2-1b character focus.

Look forward to speaking to you guys (and gals if there are any)

cheers

Jason

Sure, these are my complete runs to date:-

===============================================

Thought I'd put up some pics of my complete palitoy cardback runs up. I have 13 runs complete now for pre ROTJ characters. ROTJ character complete runs are easy to do and I only have a handful of those to do. For a run to be complete, I have to have a cardback of all the examples known to exist on the palitoy cardback guide and any others I've seen examples of. See here for the guide:-

http://www.palitoy.org/cardback/palitoy.html

First up is Darth Vader with a 12a, 12b, 41b, 45a, 45b, 45c, 65d and 70b. Reports of a 30b having been seen. Other variations that possibly exist are 30a, 41a, 41c & 70c.

Next is stormtrooper with a 12a, 12b, 41b, 45a, 45b, 45c, 65d, 70b & 70c. Reports of a 30b having been seen a few years back, and possible existence of a 30a, 41a and 41c.

wow , are they hard to come by, i mean they have a section on ebay for carded figures , where do you get the loose cardbacks from . presumably people arn't opening cards for you so is it harder to find the cards loose than sealed with a afigure on ?

I love that ESB Han Bespin card

I presume you mean the 45b with no logo? Got that in group lot of 40 cardbacks. Was very pleased when I saw that. It's not even listed on the palitoy cardback guide.

They get listed in weapons & spare parts, loose figures and carded figures pretty evenly.

As it gets harder, or for the rarer cardabcks, I have bought several reseals and opened them. I've even bought a few MOC (with badly crushed bubbles) and opened them too to get the cardback I need!

I have a couple of hundred evil kenner already. They tend to get mixed into the group lots with the palitoy. Once palitoy dries, up I may have to turn to the dark side!

Welcome Jason :D

How do you display your cardbacks and have u tried restoring them?

I keep them in 6x9 toploaders:-

http://www.the2buds.com/surs6x9.htm

Not into resoration. I tend to pull the tape and reinserted name tags out of cardbacks in my main focus and look for better examples if the name tags have been cut out.

They all live in a cupboard right now. When (if) I get my display room I was thinking about covering the walls with them (I have enough). Tricky if you get new additions though!

Maybe they should go in open top racks like CD's/records. Hmmm, there's an idea. I could put in a name tag separator for each character....

Nice collection, although somebody has nicked all of the figures !!! 8)

Ha! I've had to buy a lot of cardbacks with the figure included, which means I have 3+ of each of the figures pre last 17.

:)
