Only took SmugMug 7 months and they have gone one better.

Rather than holding your photos to ransom until you pay up, they are deleting all but your last 1000 photos if you don't pay up in time.

As per photobucket, Flickr can go **** themselves.

Will be moving mine to google photos.

Expect more broken image links in thread limelight's etc.

The digital sacking of the Library of Alexandria starts on Feb 5th 2019.

Finally finished migrating 30k photos in 500 albums to google photos.

Have had 2 cheery emails from Flickr while I was doing it.

The wankers should have least have the decency to say in big bold capitals and subject line:-

"WE ARE GOING TO DELETE ALL OF YOUR PHOTOS"

But no, you get a picture of a blue tit and then an asterix at the bottom of the mail in the tiniest font with:-

" *Free members with more than 1,000 photos or videos uploaded to Flickr will no longer be able to upload new content after Tuesday, January 8, 2019 unless they upgrade to Pro. After February 5, 2019, free accounts that contain over 1,000 photos or videos will have content deleted -- starting from oldest to newest date uploaded -- to meet the new limit. Members may always choose to download content over the limit at any time prior to these dates"
