Is it still worth buying beaters for a £1 each?

I saw a bunch in a collectables shop yesterday but these really were beaters.

All with paint rubs, chewed limbs

Should I have snapped them up?

Yes, they're called "variants" now and worth £20+ each even without accessories

I wouldn't even take beaters if they were free  well I would but i'd pass them onto someone who does want them.

I'm more of a complete minty kinda guy! 8)

Think it depends on the circumstances. If I saw beaters on eBay for £1 with free post id probably leave them but if in a charity shop or jumble sale I'd snap them up and be really pleased with myself.

Then I'd give them to my kids to play with.

I went back and got these 3 for a pound each

Best ones out of a bad bunch, I'm happy!

£1 each is a bargain. Buy them all day for that if I could.

Although I think I have enough Dengars to last a lifetime.

I took a box of 50 better than beaters to FF in December. They sat there for about 3 hours without a sale. I even gave a couple of kids some. Finally someone wanders up and buy the lot and looks nervous and hesitant about it as if I'm about to tell him they're actually £10 each not £1.

On reflection and having seen some similar figures sell for £5 and £6 I'd have been better on ebay. I think it's one of those things: There's so many of them out there that they don't seem worth bothering with but at the same time the prices of anything half decent is daft so at £1 each, why not?

Fatties without any accessories like dengar, Bib, chirpa and logray, rancor keeper etc are effectively write offs as the postage costs more than they are worth. That's if selling online.

Any beater bought in person for a pound (no postage to worry about) is ok I suppose. I just don't bother with anything I'm not displaying so unless I give them to my kids there isn't any point. Eventually even my kids will say 'Stop Daddy, no more Klaatus!)...
