It would be great to own a Rocket Fett, but this one's definitely passed the point at which I'd rather have the money! :D

Mind you, I'm quite sure I don't move in the same financial circles as the winner of this one! I imagine whoever bought it could almost certainly easily afford it, so I guess they'd rather have the figure!

Yes agree, there does come a point where something becomes too ridiculously expensive.
And then again, all things are relative, especially where money is concerned.

I thought he last Rocket Fett that sold went for $20-$25K, that's a crazy price

Looks like the high rollers were at the auction table, at least I'm happy enough with my custom.

If we looked at things relatively I don't think either of those, and especially the DT Vader, are the big shock. Yes the Fett is expensive and a lot of money but it is in demand amongst people with deep pockets. The DT Vader is very rare, 4 or 5?, and I don't think that's bad.

The insanity is in the 12 back Princes Leia at $29,000 before fees. Let that sink in.

And at the lower end the 20bk R5 for $800? I have 3 and paid £100, 220 and 180 all in the last 18 months.

Richard - dont get me wrong. To a mere mortal like me  who is not experienced in top end market values, the context of rarity against respective values is not that well known. The figures realised are still large surely?

So what (in context) makes leia the shocker? High volume of production when compared to DT vader? How many of each were made? The vader was afa70 wasnt it?

Is this not purely deep pockets then and respectable values?
