****ing fuming lads. Even though my Han cast was written down as hand made sculpture and had the VAT number for that at 5% they still charged me for 20%. Absolute whores! I ****ing hate this country sometimes, and i also hate putting cash into the ****ing monarchys pockets. Never liked the ****ing monarchy anyway.

Royal Mail and Parcelforce are absolute cunts aswell. Not only do they not give a **** about ANYONES items / parcels they skim money off the top aswell. CUNTS

Phone HMRC mate - they'll sort it and change the charge!

Already did mate. Have to pay and then get a refund using some B1 form or something.

They charged you 20% to punish you for always posting in the vintage toy section

This time of year they (customs) nab everything they can. Just the other day I had to pay £1.08 VAT then the £8 something parcelforce charge. That's just plain mean in my book.

Robbing bastards. The culture of people cocking up/not knowing their job really pisses me off, and to make it even worse you have to go through hoops to put their cock ups right. I'm fully expecting to get stung in the next couple of weeks too.

yep they always do it, i now always lie on the customs form, **** them and their bullshit charges!

I'm expecting to be hit by a charge for an item coming from Aus soon. I'll play hell with them.

I wonder...... Can you/we charge them an "admin fee" for our time filling in the form to claim back after their mistake? If it was the other way round we'd get hit with an extra charge. Fair's fair.

Absolutely love it!

Makes me not want to buy or sell any more. Been back in the collecting game less than a year and I've experienced it all. 2 MOCs from the US being damaged on their way here. Being charged import fees for 2 MOCs from the US even though it went through the GSP. The most recent thing is a graded figure busting out of the bubble I posted, so had to give a full refund.

I know this is off the starwars topic but what is the law for anything else you buy from the states if it is new or second hand? If posted do you always have to pay fees. A few on here said if you post to Ireland there is no extra fees on top of postage. Does anyone know if this is true?
