R2D2 made a cameo in Star Trek 2009 - so why not, I believe a Star Trek related character or ship is probably already an Easter egg regardless of the sad news yesterday.

When did Star Wars take place? Wasn't it 'a long time ago, in a galaxy far away' ?
And isn't Star Trek set in the not too distant future?

As for crossovers - the Millenium Falcon was sort of in Bladerunner ...and Harrison Ford was in Bladerunner :?
