Update on the collection ( In total ) PART 2

Wonderful to see those 'Force Beams' again. I had one with a green light and my brother the red one. Sadly I got rid of them about 1986. Don't see them often even though they were produced in big numbers.

Original 1977 Star Wars Sountrack With 2 Posters and a letter describing misprint on record labels

Seems no-one wanted to reply to this one and I'm one year too late. An interesting item with that correction note - I wonder what it sold for? I've still got my original vinyl LP which was signed on the back by Dave Prowse but I never remember getting any free posters with it.

    Any VHS / Pre-cert Experts?

edd_jedi I've found myself in a similar position as you. Ended up collecting (again) the first rental editions of the trilogy. In doing so I discovered this 'variant' issued in a white box. Indeed, you find yourself disappearing down a rabbit hole with such things. I'm resisting getting any...

    When to start thinning down?

I think it's sensible to consider these things while you can. Younger collectors here don't need to worry, but time creeps up on us all. I'm knocking on 60 and have been 'thinning down' a large number of different collectables over the years. I may have already commented on this here...

These crazy prices will only fuel even more ‘fakes/forgeries’.

Topps blue card No. 1 sells for $268,400

I saw this on Instragram and initially didn’t believe it until I searched the web. I’m sure many of you have already seen this. I bought my complete set about 20 years ago (time flies!) and they’ve been stored in a collectors wallet folder since then. I never managed to collect the full set...

    Is everyone asleep??

Another one time collector here. My interests are fairly wide and I'm a member of several other forums so don't always check in as often as I would like to. Like Weasel, I sold off nearly all my Star Wars collectables some years ago. The older you get the more it feels like time to slowly pass...

Original SW screening at BFI in June

I’ve not seen that ILM documentary yet so will check that out. I added a comment on one of those Youtube videos pleading for it to be released for the 50th anniversary LOL. I think that’s something that might actually happen, being the big 50th birthday - lets see!

latest film/ dvd you have seen

I've an interest which goes back to when I was watching horror films in the 1980's. I've a small selection of VHS pre-certs like The Brood and Rabid but none of the banned 'nasties'. Last year I tried several times to join the www.pre-cert.co.uk forum without success. The registation process...

Star Wars ex rental VHS sleeve (1982)

Oh, the original file I uploaded was 1.58mb but looks like it's been automatically, compressed to just 402kb. Not sure if the smaller size will be good enough for printing

Star Wars ex rental VHS sleeve (1982)

Hi stevedee1970, I finally retrieved my first edition VHS trilogy set and have now scanned all three covers. Here's the one you requested (better late than never!). I've used an Epson scanner and it should be good enough quality to reproduce in it's actual size. I think the colours are very...
