Re: Helix ruler 1977 (ask for pictures)

I just know some guys are into the Helix stuff, so maybe it helps prise something Lyons Maid loose? I’m always happy to make up cash or balance a deal out either way. Sometimes dangling a small carrot is all thats needed, as I have met a few guys with Lyons Maid that only wanted trades. I was offer...

Re: Solving problems in the hobby - how?

Interesting thing with TT's is I bet even disclosed there are probably not many worth less now than the price paid bitd even in the belief they were real. I bought several in the 90's, and the prices even disclosed seem to be readjusting to an extent that even if you purchased them in good faith fr...

Re: Solving problems in the hobby - how?

Personally I don't think it will get anywhere unless the community stands together, for instance, why is Farthest From not boycotted if the likes of Jeff is still allowed to trade there?? if the organisers give a shit then they will act, people will complain about this guy at events but everyone st...

Re: Palitoy20 back question.

Nice spot! Have updated the 20 back page and given you a credit on the main page. Have looked on Vectis, all the other 20 back figures use a single bubble type. Greedo use the square stem bubble seen as the second bubble type on Walrus Man. https://www.freewebs.com/mrpalitoy/sw20cardback.htm :) che...

Re: Solving problems in the hobby - how?

At least a few of us tried but the police dropped it for the reasons above. A friend of mine is a policeman and he says current resourcing means that the way crimes are prioritised fraud in toy collecting is never going to be top of the list. Most burgalries dont even get solved so what chance do w...

Re: So are all collectors the same?

Not at all. Money shouldnt be a barrier to enjoying vintage star wars collecting. Lots of people doing reseal runs now (Mark Daniels has lovely set of the first 12) and there are many more cardback collectors now than there used to be. I stopped my own Palioty MOC run after the first 12/second 8, an...
