Re: Reproduction Weapons

I think if you read back over my posts, you'll find I share your thoughts on repro exactly. I can't stand it on any level. I'm not defending it on any level either, just debating its role, however unwanted, in modern collecting. I don't know you personally either, does that stop us being able to ha...

Re: Reproduction Weapons

I'm not really clear, for whom should these alarm bells be ringing exactly? We're simply having a discussion about the place of repro in modern collecting. I'm well aware of the opinions of the many on this forum...I share them...it's why I've joined :) Alarm bells should be ringing to collectors c...

Re: Reproduction Weapons

This argument will be around for ever. There has been many polls on reproduction weapons on this forum and the many do not support it me included you cannot sell repro here i believe you cannot sell repro on any of the recognised facebook pages i am not a member so unsure. Also you cannot grade repr...

Re: Reproduction Weapons

This is not a vintage car its a star wars figure and the 2 require a very different mentality as a car wont even move without a great number of parts to make it operate i cant see a comparison. There is no justification for reproduction weapons its a lazy mans collection. No effort in obtaining the ...

Snowspeeder loose

Hi guys

I have a snowspeeder going spare missing harpoon and tow cable and the electronics don't work. Landing gear works fine has both rear boosters and front cannons and top hatch.

I am looking for £25 + £5 postage.

Thanks

Re: Reproduction Weapons

A big part of the problem is people who sell the original weapons for prohibitively high prices and the people who are willing to buy them for these prices. It just opens up a bigger market for sellers of repro weapons as many people are priced out of the market and head towards repros to 'complete...

Re: Reproduction Weapons

Don't buy reproductions just leave the figure incomplete. When I collected in the early 90s I had about 4 weapons and was just happy to collect the figures as weapons where a lot harder to find without eBay and the internet. I have a very limited budget for collecting but have managed to obtain an a...

Re: Rarity perception

I agree with the EV9D9 being a harder figure in good condition to pick up compared to a yak face. I spent about 6 months trying to find one at a reasonable price and even then he has an arm issue.
