Re: Becoming desensitised to money due to collecting?

I don’t really have much in my collection that could be deemed high-end, or that I’ve spent hundreds on, but it seems that at all levels of collecting we make an assessment on whether to purchase something, or not, and one of the biggest factors that comes in to play is its cost relative to what we ...

Re: Question On Boxes And Inserts Etc When We Were Kids

I was a kid. They were toys. I gave not one single moment's thought to the packaging, just like most children. The packets were opened, the toys removed and the packaging binned. I wanted the toys, not the boxes. And besides, my mother wouldn't have let me keep a load of 'useless' cardboard to clut...

Re: Question On Boxes And Inserts Etc When We Were Kids

I kinda sorta remember thinking that I wouldn’t open a Logray and a Ree Yees that I got as doubles, but that thought lasted about as long as it took for me to open them both :D

Re: Were you a "one toy line" kid?

Star Wars was the main toyline for me but I did have Transformers, a couple of Zoids, an action man and some of the Hero Turtles line. Lego was an ever-constant too. The Transformers arrived one Christmas when the Star Wars line had all but disappeared from the shelves, and I loved them. Turtles cam...

Re: New Resistance Figures for 2019

I quite like these, so far.
I can imagine picking up a Poe at some point, if they actually appear in any of the shops, (I still have not seen any Solo figures in the wild), and if they are not stupidly priced :)

Re: Star Wars to Action Force

Do I have that right that these are a type of official 'Action Man' spin off toy line?, just noticed the Action Man logo on the cardbacks which iv'e never noticed before. I know nothing about Action Force by the way. I’m not an expert on this, but I read that Action Force was the U.K. name fo...

Re: Star Wars to Action Force

I seem to remember being aware that Action Force was out there and I had one figure that I believe was action force, (a frogman), but Star Wars was always my main focus. I did get good playtime out of the frogman and he joined the ranks of my Star Wars figures for a while, but I always felt that he ...

Re: Earliest Vintage SW Memories

I don’t remember who my first figure was but I remember my older brother had some before I did, and I had seen Star Wars at the cinema, (likely on a re-release as I was only 1 in 1977), and I was interested in the toys because of that. I definitely had a stormtrooper early on in my Star Wars toy col...

Re: POSITIVE ONLY - Movie/scene list

ROTS:- The scene where Padme is looking out her apartment window across the Coruscant city-scape as Anakins fall to the dark side takes effect. The music that plays over the eerily silent scene is absolutely perfect :)

Re: So what did you think about Solo: A Star Wars Story ??? SPOILERS

The water worm wasn’t one of my favourite scenes, and as for Maul, I figured we’d get to see Dathomir, then didn’t. I wondered if we’ll get a movie about Qui’ra as her story wasn’t finished. For that matter, it’s possible Han will get a second movie because they left it a little unresolved with Qui’...
