Re: Star Wars Toy of the Week, Week 37, 2018, Part 1/2

I’m really not a big fan of 4-Lom, I think it’s somethig to do with how stupid he looks when you take of the coat and vest. So I’m not entirely sure why I ended up with this lot

Re: South West/Bristol/Gloucester Meet 6th Oct Indian or Thai?

I’d go for a Clark’s pie but I don’t think friar tucks does them so I’ll be happy with a curry. What sort? Indian or Thai? Friar Tuck's is a quality chippy 8) Doh! I meant an Indian, sorry about the confusion. I’ll have to drive up through Swindon on my way through so happy to pick up a bunch...

Re: top 3 props you would have in your collection (smalls)

Great shout on the rogue one hard drive!

I’ve always wanted a rebel soldier hat from the hoth uniforms. It’s so cool looking and something you could actually wear out on the slopes.

To be a bit different how about Lobots head piece and jabbas bong. :)

Re: Carded Power Droid 21b Disaster

That’s a strange thing to happen, if there was a few mm of space between the bubble to the acrylic I wouldn’t have expected it to have moved enough to crush itself. It might be something to do with the figure though as I also have a 21 back power droid which cracked all by itself. This one was in a ...

Re: Looking for info on Palitoy Cardback Production

Dave Tree would be a great chap to contact as he has heaps of Palitoy knowledge. A few years ago he unearthed an uncut trilogo sheet - http://www.starwarsforum.co.uk/viewtopic.php?t=18730&start=45 This was a reject due to the sheet being in the machine upside down for one of the colour passes so...

Re: What could Kenner have done better ?

Good theory on the rebel trooper. The next 8 releases up to 20 backs make sense too: 4 aliens to go with the creature cantina palyset 3 new droids to go with the droid factory/land of the jawas Luke x wing to go with the ship Then they went with Fett and before you know it Empire is round the corner...

Re: Vintage Collecting Book

There’s a lot of books out there and you could spend a lot very quickly - especially with out of print stuff like the Kellerman book.

My suggestion would be to watch plastic galaxy, it’s a really well put together documentary and gives a great overview of Kenner and interviews with ex-employees

Re: Star Wars Toy of the Week, Week 35, 2018, Part 2/2

Lars please tell me to take this down if you feel its not appropriate but I've had this photo for ages and never got around to posting it. I was in the Olympic park in Seoul a few years ago which is full of sculptures from various artists and found this, take a close look at his head and legs! DSC03...

Re: Luke Storm

The U grades are worthless on this forum as you cannot sell them here.

viewtopic.php?f=4&t=23184

I would advise you break them out, the loose value will be something like this:

Luke stormy - £150
Pop up R2 - £250
Sensorscope R2 - £40

Re: Perspex MOC Cases

Yeah Christian at GW acrylic is your man. I picked up some cases for MASK Mocs last year which are slightly larger than a standard SW cardback. I think they were designed for GI Joe.

Re: Response to Claims

Thanks Carl. I am in no doubt that the Rebel Soldier is/was Jeffs as I have seen it in person but there is absolutely no proof that he still owns it. Marc is a well respected dealer and it is perfectly feasible he bought this from Jeff to flip (and made a tidy profit on it by the looks of it). I am ...
