Got this from Stuart Ng books. A lovely warehouse fresh copy of Colorvision by Ron Cobb. Published in 1981 it contains some lovely illustrations of his designs for Star Wars

I LOVE Ron Cobb's work, he really deserves more recognition for his contribution to SW. He's something of a hero to me and I was in contact with him several years ago trying to help him get a book published that showcased his work throughout his film careeer but nothing ever came of it :(

ALIEN, ALIENS, CONAN THE BARBARIAN, THE LAST STARFIGHTER, BACK TO THE FUTURE, TOTAL RECALL, THE ABYSS...he came up with some classic designs. I always really loved the GUNSTAR from THE LAST STARFIGHTER.

Definitely recommend this book if you find a copy.

Wow...a book about the art and design of those films would be amazing.
What a shame nothing came if it!

I'm a bit excited of finding this one ...
standard Kenner 65 A ... but with a white fur Chirpa on it.
Thought this variant only came on european cards - never saw one on any US MOC.

Nice little variant. What is the COA on the 65A out of interest?

Good catch, this is a tough card and displays great!

Thanks mate, still sad - I let some of your Chirpa MOCs go, especially the double stems. No good timing for me, but that's the thrill in collecting.

Ah, I'm sorry Stefan. You should have said my friend and I would have put them aside for you. I'll always keep my eye out for you in the future. I still have something for you but not yet complete. In time.

I've not posted here in quite a while but feel the urge to share my chuft-ness at a common toy.

I fancied an Imperial Transport and it was important the electrics worked. I saw this one listed as making some sort of vague sound so I bought it up with a view to pressing the buttons for a while to see if the mechanisms loosened up. This had worked for me in the past. Here's a video.

Man this is awesome. There's nothing better than an Imperial Troop Transporter filled with minty white stormtroopers. Makes me want to find one myself now :-D

Wow, both those Chirpas are fabulous

Nice rifle, Obi-Wan and AST-5, Carl 8)

Agree about the Troop Transport- bought one last year and actually enjoyed taking it apart and fixing the mini record player! What a cool device 8)
