After two attempts at starting a collection and having to stop I'm finally settled in a nice house with a small place to display some vintage goodness.

I've decided to go for a full loose run starting with the first 21. At the same time I wanted to pick a figure to start a little focus on that wouldn't cost too much and wouldn't be too hard to find so decided on the B-Wing Pilot. I love the picture on the card and really like the figure itself. Also when I started getting a few MOCs together a few years ago and had to get rid of them the B-Wing pilot was my favourite so I was glad to get one back.

I just knocked together the MDF shelf which still needs sanding, painting and the back putting on.

It's not much but it's a start and hopefully I can keep putting my progress up here to share.

The card in the middle has the bubble half attached and the name cut out and the one on the right has the bubble just over halfway attached. The one on the left is a nice example with just a tiny tear on the hanging tab.

These are the first 3 loose figures I've got and have a few more on the way.

Sorry about the terrible lighting  Looking forward to adding more to the collection and hopefully going to be more active on the forum.

Two new addition arrived this morning and I made some changes to the bottom of my shelf, looks better than the organiser and I will fit more on, still needs painting and the back screwing on though.

as for the phone , take pictures with the top of your phone horizontal to the left . side by side ya know ? that's how the phone reads correctly like a camera

I don't unfortunately. All my loose pilots are weaponless. I'm not even going to think about trying to find a pistol for each one either

If you edit them (and spin them all the way round) the software then knows which way up they are meant to be. Don't disagree with the Hellhippie comment BTW, I just know that this works for me and if you want to use an older picture (and don't know which way you held the phone that day) this extra info may help.

Thats great, thanks for the info.

Up to ten now with two more on the way. I just pick them up whenever I see them under the £7 mark.
Will hopefully be adding a tri logo moc to the focus at the end of the month :)

That's how I amassed my fett collection until I had to push my price a bit higher. Don't know how many b wing pilot variants there are but that might an interesting avenue to look into if you're interested in variants.

Ohh il have to check out your Fett army.

As far as variants I have only seen and read about two differences in sculpt. Only small differences though. Not sure about much else. I've seen a Kenner baggie b wing pilot on eBay. The first time I've seen one so might have to pick one up when I've got some money.

Take a look at the country of origin stamps on the legs.
They might look the same at a glance, but often minor differences in letter spacing and leg positioning will appear the more you look...
There might of course be different countries or in some cases no stamps at all...variant collecting is a dark art of details.
Worth a look in the Vintage Reference section to see examples of what I'm going on about, not sure if a B Wing guide has been done yet

Can't see a B-Wing guide in the reference section. I will have a good look at all the ones I have later on and see if I can spot many differences in them.

Added a few loose figures to the collection this week. I picked up an acrylic case for my B wing pilot MOC too, really does make them look so much better.

All the pilots on the top row have the COO on left legs and the two on the bottom right have them on right legs.

I have a Stormie and Hammerhead on the way so only need another 8 to complete the first 21. Not sure if I will get a Leia just yet unless I see a great deal.
