Assuming there's at least some interest out there in reading it, I'd like to post a 'How to' guide on scratch building a display cabinet, but am unsure exactly where to post it on the Forum. Other cabinet builds seem to have been posted in the 'Vintage Showcase' thread before, albeit they usually also show vintage figures actually inside them! I've built a few cabinets over the years, but this latest one won't actually be for vintage Star Wars. However, the principles used can obviously be applied to making a cabinet that is for vintage, so I hope this thread is deemed to be appropriate and doesn't fall foul of the rules and get moved by the mods? The step-by-step guide itself is still being written, but I hope to have it completed in the not-too-distant future, so if this is the wrong thread, please lmk where it should actually be posted.

In the meantime, here's a quick before and after pic of my latest effort to whet your appetites. Hope you like it! :)

Looks great mate can you explain some of the methods used i.e did you get the glass cut for shelves and front etc. i would love to do something like this once i can buy a bigger house. I have cheated a bit and recently picked up a LIDL cabinet its good but heavy and not really wide enough for the way i would like to display my figures.

Thanks. Yes, the 'How to' (or more accurately, 'How I did') guide will be step-by-step from start to finish, complete with photos of every stage of the build. I'll explain what I did, how and why to achieve the end result... I just hope I don't send anyone to sleep! ;-)
