Some carded samples did indeed make it into retail bins in Australia when production ended. Only a couple of this particular example have turned up and both have an Australian Venture price tag.

I think a few of these sample cards ended up in Aus - I know some were picked up in the Aussie plastic bag find recently and that others have turned up in collections in Aus that were store purchased

Don't know anything about samples, but I know they look the nuts. Great to know pieces you have are super rare. Well done.

I picked these two up on ebay this week - delivered yesterday in a box thankfully! Yoda's bubble is cracked but he can't be removed - han is dented, but no cracks.

t's not often you get the chance to pick up your grail twice. And I don't mean to over use the term grail. But this week it happened :)

Leia pink poncho carded sample on ROTJ 48 back Imperial Hoth Stormtrooper card. And side by side with my other grail. Leia pink poncho unpainted first shot with non production hat and blaster for good measure. Interestingly the hair on carded sample figure is non production brown although the blaster and hat appear to be production like.

Those pink pocho Leias like others I have never seen before. Quite cool like red cape squid & fortuna. Always great to get something you have been after.

Awesome additions everyone, Oli that Pink Poncho Leia is superb mate eve cooler with the Venture sticker

What's this plastic bag find you're referring to Iain? I've not heard about that one?

Speaking of plastic bags, won't mean a lot to folk on here but one of the stores I have the most memories of SW toys here in Aus is a department store called MYER. They used to have the wholes top floor dedicated to toys and in Christmas is was a childs paradise. As you can see by these two bags they would have shows and expos related to different toys. The Star Wars one's popped up for sale on Facebook so I grabbed one and the sleer kindly posted a free Lego one as well. These things are as new as the day they were made apparently his Nan worked in MYER Adelaide back in the day and would horde anything they were throwing away. Good on you Nan! Also love the fact they've used an actual Vader case as the image on the artwork.

following on from scuffylooking and maxf items heres mine from the same seller a £20 bin with free postage probably the worst one of the lot. its one i havnt seen before anyway. the double stem bubble is crushed big time and is lifting slightly right corner but figure cant be removed :D

According to mr palitoy (Jason's) guide its dutch clipper 45bn back!

''The Palitoy factory ran out of Palitoy 45B cards for some of it's figures and used German General Mills and Dutch Clipper cards which were also manufactured in the Coalville factory. These cards had a Palitoy sticker covering the entire bottom half of the reverse of the card to cover up the German and Dutch writing. This sticker had the same text as on the back of the bottom half of the 45C variation. The Dutch Clipper ESB card has a tilted white box on the top left hand corner on the front of the card that says Gratis Premies! Zie Achterzijde and Offre Gratuite. Voir Au Vers. The phrase is the Dutch and French for For free offers! See back. On the top right hand corner is says 4 jaar en ouder which is Dutch for 4 years and older. Dengar, R2-D2 with sensorscope, Zuckuss, Imperial TIE Fighter Pilot and 4-LOM are known to have appeared on this card with a sticker on the back. This sticker variation is known as 45BN, the N standing for Netherlands/Dutch''

Another one for the budget MOC run

A Dirty Dengar!
