Another big find for my palitoy cardback run. Thanks to Andy Clarke and Max Field for giving me the heads up on an ebay auction that had this bad boy in it:-

This card/figure combo was previously unverified on the palitoy matrix:-

I now have the first 12 on 41 backs:-

Love the "Star Wars Is Forever / Collect All 79 Mailaway Poster (Kenner)" Walkie, such a great image of all the figures with the different terrain/dioramas melding together and crossing over - sweet item!

Been to the Doncaster toy fair today and picked up a few bits, my brother picked me up this morning he was brandishing three cardbacks for me which was a fantastic surprise, especially as two of them were Palitoy. All in all i'm pleased with what I have added today, not much Vintage Star Wars was about today but i did ok, I also couldn't resist the Blakes 7 annual.

A very nice 30b FX7 and a 41b Luke X Wing

I liked this as Teebo has his right arm raised but the bubble is sealed, it does have a small crack but not enough to remove the figure

Picked up a few bits in the past few weeks, but the ones to showcase here are a bit of a follow-up to the bubblebath items that Jez and Grant mentioned of mine on the Podcast, so here are the other pieces that I have added since those bottles (but before the podcast published):

I also (this all came as part of a mixed lot I'm still sorting through, got these two ceramic money banks:

Does anyone know anything about them, who made them, are there more in the range; presuming they are from the same range of course... #help

Couple of weeks back I spotted a rather interesting and hard to find 8D8 Made in Macau baggie on ebay.fr and was amazed to see how many different figures the seller actually had for sale. Given that I wasn't going to go in for all of them and the auctions were definitely going to be missed by most people, I decided I had to pass the link on to someone that would appreciate them. I contacted a rather nice chap from SWF (who you all know!) as I was confident that he would be interested in buying more than one. We worked something out and he did indeed manage to win a fair few, including the one I wanted and had them all sent to him together. He then forwarded mine on to me (thanks again mate! chime in if you want ;) )

To give a bit of back story to the baggies I'm talking about before I show the one I picked up, they were all from the French counter top display:

While you can find Made in Macau figures from time to time, it's rare that any with the red sticker turn up. The sticker looks like this up close:

That particular promotion offered customers a free figure for every vehicle (and possibly playset) that they purchased. You could have your pick of what was in the box when you went to the counter to pay.

I've been looking for one for a long time for my focus and while I've seen a couple out there most are part of other collectors display boxes and I highly doubt they will ever be split up (not that I think they should!).

Anyway, to cut a long story short the baggies on ebay unfortunately all had the stickers partially removed (some more than others!) but they were still totally recognisable due to the red left behind.

Here is the 8D8 I won alongside the advertisement for the promotion:

I'll have to pretend the other two Macau baggies I have just never received the red sticker :p

nice baggie pick ups,.on the kenner ones they have the cardboard leg insert to help protect the vulnerable legs.On these ones and some others i've seen they've left them out.I wonder if having the cardboard would help to stop the leg from bending over long term,or would it have minimal benefit.
