Another good day for me. It's like Christmas at the mo!!!

There's a lot of mint figures in there and I think more original weapons than figures. That doesn't happen very often!! :D

Got them at a great price too. Most will head in to my new loose collection.

Okey Dokey, these are a little side focus I've been concentrating on for the last part of last year and early this year so all are relatively new additions... apart from the piccie at the end of course .. :)

Always been a massive fan of Hoth and the environment created by the production. To me, it was a perfectly created environment, everything meshed and seemed probable and real. Aside from the asteroid field sequence, the hoth sequences are my favourite scenes in the whole trilogy. The rebel soldier costumes were amazing and complex and really hit the spot for me, so it was a natural that when I started a focus run, this would be the character....

A long while back, I actually made it out to Finse and out to the glaciers where we tracked down the filming locations, which subsequently evolved into a magazine article... Here's me and a couple of likely lads on Hoth !!! :)

So anyway, on to the toys... enjoy...

Still have to go pick up the Palitoy from Vectis, so excuse the stock Vectis photo...

a few more to go, most notably an ROTJ and Tri-logo MOC, and then I'll be happy to sit back and see what turns up...

..and all these compliment these pieces which I started piecing together many years ago... just some old insignificant screen used bits... :)

I just died inside.

But I'm happy because I have seen those props. Holy Hoth Iceballs! There has to be an interesting story behind those props. SW weaponary?? Seriously?? Even if the story is only "bought from auction in 1991 for 1200 quid" I want to hear it. Mate, that is, without even merest hint of doubt, the absolute very best thing I've seen on this forum. Oh wow. I wouldn't leave the room those things were on the wall of. Although I may have to just sit there in a chair. Goggles on, laser rifle in hand. Just in my pants.

I like that. Thanks for sharing.

I feel exactly the same as Simon, apart from this bit:

You know what, if I owned memorabilia like that, I reckon I'd go without the pants.
Absolutely fantastic items.

The run continues ! Eight down - four to go. Like most of my 12 backs, the little guy has seen better days but I still think he's great!

Cheers guys :) Yeh some great historic info there. For me personally as mainly an Empire Palitoy collector these days it's a real important piece in my collection :!: The info on how they released the first 10 Empire figures was an education :!: And having that pic of the prototypes of the first 10 Empire Figures as seen on the 30 back is just awesome 8) 8)

Apologies for the bloody shadows :x
