I'm in Melbourne this week and in the moving image museum they had a small display of vintage :) Take a look at the MOCs though - they're obviously recards, but I've never seen ones like this before. The bubbles have backs that are sculpted to the figures shape, they have a mix of modern and vintage weapons, and the card stock/artwork also looks much closer to the real thing than any custom/recard I've seen before. Any idea what these are?

Seems a shame to have a museum displaying fakes. Surely they could have kept it vintage as there are a few Mocs around for under £100 so it wouldn't have cost the earth :?

I could be wrong, but those cards and the blisters (and their inner trays) look very much like they are from the VOTC modern Hasbro line (see here generally: http://www.rebelscum.com/OTCvintage.asp or here for Han Solo specifically: http://www.rebelscum.com/OTC-Vhansolo.asp). Someone appears to have added actual vintage figures to their modern line card equivalents and then resealed them. What a con! Here is the VOTC Han:

Ah yes, I think you're right. That would explain why the cards look much better than your average home printed recard. I couldn't see any sign of resealing but I guess they could have done it carefully, or maybe as it's a museum asked Kenner for unused bubbles/cardbacks?

Oi! You travel half way around the world to my home town and don't even stop by for a beer? How's the unseasonably hot and humid weather treating you?

Ah sorry, it was just a flying visit. Yes the first day we got there it was about 18 degrees and cloudy, the next it was 38 and sunny!
