he is a little beauty pal and just holding and touching him like that should tell you no as you would not be able to do that any more and i have even seen graded figures damaged due to them rubbing on the acrylic but at the end of the day the choice is yours but for me its a no dont do it :)

Are you going to sell him? If so, it MAY be worth it, depending on the grade. You will have to get AFA to do it, send him to America and pay a hefty premium in postage and grading fees. Get 85 or 90 and you are quids in (maybe). Get 80 and you will struggle to get your money back.

If you are keeping him, ask yourself why you are grading. Will it make you happier if this figure is locked in a case that you will never see him again in and a little sticker with 85 on it then pay out the cash. How will you feel if he scores 80.

If you want to keep him nice then buy a case from GW and display him in that. It will keep him safe and you can take him out and enjoy him at any time.

Grading him will not change his condition. You know he's nice, and anyone can see that. You don't need AFA to tell you.

Agree with both of the above - personally, I hate grading anything, but that's another thread :)

Unless it's a really rare figure, VCJ or Blue snag etc... I really wouldn't bother.

Bleep...don't do it to me bleeeep!

I have been free for many a year you know,
If in plastic I'm entombed my circuits will blow!
The choice is yours when all said and done,
But locked up I will be sad and glum,
Use the cash and buy my pal C3 PO :D

If you want the case then speak to Christian or Iain. They make great loose cases, and that way you grade it yourself and are still able to handle it.

Dont pay some slagheap to lock it in a tomb with a couple of bullshit numbers they pull from thin air... :D

alright thanks you guys for the input!, i live in America already anyway so to get it graded wont be SOO much as i wont have to put much into shipping but i dunno with my last mishap... my little niece got into my set and took out my original DT saber from my luke so im lookin into lockin them all up and grading what i can... like i said in a few of my other posts... im not REALLY a collector collector well until now... i dont have a COMPLETE set i only have what i had when i was younger that i got from my uncle and they were never played with and i never played with them... so yea... i guess ill just look into a case that i can take it out when ever i can just so nothing happens to the little dude, they are already in a glass cupboard... but now the little one is bigger she can reach the handle...

Sounds like a plan Adam - I sell the cases over here in the US - the one pictured is $5.25 + postage - so a lot cheaper than grading

Fit some locks to the cabinet doors. I did this with mine. Locks were well under £10 and were easy to fit.

Don't grade them!

Like the other guys I don't really do graded, I like to be able to handle my figures. Also if I want the equivalent of graded I just get a figure still inside a sealed bubble! It's exactly the same. It doesn't matter what anyone else says anyway, it's your figure so it's up to you :)

I also like grading for various reasons but I wouldn't bother with loose anymore, just don't like the way they look and as someone else stated not happy with things like capes etc being squashed into place. Now baggies in custom cases, that's a whole different story!

Iain sold me one in very similar condition! Yours is a beauty.
Buy a case from Iain, display it proudly knowing you can take the figure out and touch and feel vinty goodness lol.

Soon as I get some cash, I'll be buying some of those cases Iain!

Carl.
