Hi guys,

Been given wildly differing prices on what this is worth, and I've yet to see one come up on eBay.. Have asked around a bit but thought I'd ask if you don't mind. It's got sub grades of C 85, B and F 80.

Thanks in advance! :)

  I'll let someone else guess a price on this, these are rare mate. I would be interested if I wasn't broke. Definitely 47 back? Have you got a better photo? It was thought 4-Lom was released on a 48 back for a while.

^^ yeah 'should' be a 48 back. A clearer picture with the AFA serial number would be good. The last ungraded one was swapped for a POTF Yak to give you an idea of value. I think the last cardback sold for $300!!!

Yep the photo isn't the best I know.. It's definately a 47bk AFA NUMBER 04175420

The back is a normal 47bk as shown on the SW archive.

I can't say that's for sure someone might have an idea. The best guide you have so far is one was swapped for a POTF yak.

Yeah this is rare it's as if the day they started packageing 4-Lom onto 48 backs someone got it wrong with a couple 47 backs or they used a couple 47 backs to get rid of them.

These are very rare. Kevin is the man to ask really. I will try to get hold of him. Out of interest I notice you have posted valuation thread on rebelscum about some high end potf figures. Are these all recent purchases or have you had them for many years? Can you fill us in a little? I apologise for sounding nosey but we get all sorts of people coming on here asking question s about items I just want to be sure that they belong to you.

Hello!

No not at all... No issue being nosey at all!! Basically collected these around the 90's with my brother... So technically both of us own the stuff! Was quite lucky around that time as Star Wars was still considered a bit worthless. To give you an idea how things have changed we were offered an Anakin on POTF card, and we refused it at $160... We thought it was too expensive! Luckily went back 2 days later and paid $140 for it, and still have it today. As far as the other POTF figures have got them via eBay and Oz over the years, luckily not for insane prices. Pretty much because of a friend getting into buying some stuff was looking at prices these days and my reaction was    Really, really nuts!! But hey it's supply and demand, and these wonderful figures are pretty much antiques now. And no one would batter an eyelid for paying £2M for a pile of bricks, so I don't know why a piece of plastic should get any grief!!
Actually I really had no idea that the 4-LOM was so valuable, and always thought was a bit strange had no offer. Indeed, I even thought the 80 AFA gave it was even a bit harsh. It wasn't that long ago I had sent those POTF into AFA, and you can imagine my slight worry that they came back in one piece!!!
It's funny but years, years ago had sold a Jawa on Toltoys card, which was bought from Melbourne and can't help but think that it might be the one mentioned on this forum!!
Also came onto the forum(s) recently as had read about the Toy Toni thing, and so even though only got one or two Palitoy cards, wanted to make sure they were legit..

Anyway! I've rambled on a lot lol....

But did ask at Rebel Scum for a valuation on 4-LOM but $4+, and then saying a Yak Face in exchange... Well just no idea what his price should be really! :)

No worries. Sounds like you bought well back then. Some cool items for sure. Have you recently got the bug back? Thought about starting up again?

Well the bug never left really! Just life got in the way! But the aim was always to try and get each figure carded on their original card e.g. Greedo on SW, 4-LOM on Empire etc... Considering majority of collecting was via Oz/UK and eBay, trying on first 31 back etc... was a bit much. Although have managed to get all of them, just missing Sise Fromm and one of the Ewoks.. Also liked getting all the POTF coin figures as I've always had a soft spot for them...

About the only thing that would peak my interest is I'd love to get some figures on Toltoys cards as I remember them as a child, but unless I stumble across some Toltoys employee deceased estate, I think I'm out of luck!!
