its worth the trip down to brighton for snoopers paradise, lots of 70s and 80s collectables, from furniture to records to computer games to old clothes.

plus everyone loves a bit of fish and chips on the beach.

also worth visiting the old record shop by the station, massively overpriced and ran by an ancient moody fossil but a very large collection of weird film soundtracks all in mint condition.

what did he have in his cabinet dave?

A few vintage mucky books, a MOC Mecanno Jawa, couple of other MOC's, a few loosies, an ET and loads of other old shite that doesn't seem to be moving.

I'm amazed that that record dealer is still alive, he seemed pretty close to retirement 15 years ago when I went in there and picked up some strange Anime soundtrack. Those LP's in there are amazing though and I remember him telling me that he was going to be buried with them so that nobody would get their hands on them......nice chap!

I was in Brighton at the weekend and went to Snoopers Paradise for the first time, it's a cool place! Lots of retro games, magazines, toys, clothes etc. I could have spent hours in there. There were 2 cabinets with vintage MOCs in them, are they both Toni's?

Edd, i felt the same when i first went there with my girlfriend, i didnt want to leave and she was bored, i was tempted to buy a loose set of planet of the apes figures from toni's stool, also a massive lifesize swatch watch and a space helmet tv, i held on to my cash in the end and probaly spent it on beer instead

i thought that both stalls were toni's as one had the recards (his) in but the other had all the loosies in with other bits like records and planet of the apes figures (also his) but then someone said on here said they were not both his? unless its changed since i last went?

So I guess it doesn't take a genius to work out that he uses that stand to shift all of the loose figures he buys that aren't quite good enough to put on a cardback

i seem to remember the loosies being way over the top price wise and thinking the carded stuff was very very reasonable. now we know why

On to save on the ongoing confusion I'll go in this week and take a photo showing which one is TT and then the other sellers who has a larger selection of SW and lots of other stuff.( to the immediate right as you walk into the entrance ) At least that way you know you won't be giving him anymore of your cash

And if you go out on the piss in the evening and end up sleeping on the beach, you can pop round Tonis and get your shirt ironed in the morning. I hear he has several.

I've got a new theory.

Do yellow bubbles come from someone pissing in his iron and his use of the steam button?

Perhaps that's another link to him which needs explored?

I've actually seen a bunch of Toni boba fetts that all had really yellow bubbles that were bought in the mid 90s. I reckoned it
must have been something to do with how they were stored in the following years that made them all yellow the same way.

Hello! I am a stall holder at Snoopers Paradise in Brighton, selling Star Wars toys amongst other SF toys and memorabilia. In response to assumptions made in this thread I'd like to establish that Stall 83 is run by myself, Tim Drummond, and has NO connection to Toytoni's business. (My stall is to the right of the turnstile entrance and is the larger of the two.)

Some of you who frequented the Cheshunt toy fairs years may know me from there -I used to have a good selection of MOC figures (never without a selection of Tri-logo R5-D4s!) Within the context of Snoopers I've avoided selling much in the way of carded vintage SW as I felt this was Toni's area... you will however find a selection of vintage and modern items for both adults and kids!

I met Tim today on one of my regular Snoopers trips and had a good chat with him, he's a decent guy and has some good loosies and other vintage stuff.

I have pointed out before on this forum Tim that your cabinets have nothing to do with any others in question.

Hi Tim and welcome to SWFUK... :D

Its a shame you have had to come here to clear any connection with Toni. I wonder how much business he has cost you since he is connected with Snoopers Paradise.

Hi Pigcitty, Good to meet you this morning (small planet!) Thanks for recommending this site and indeed highlighting that I'm a separate entity within Snoopers. I did sign up awhile ago but have only dropped by occasionally, as whilst I've kept my hand in dealing in SW over the years its only recently I've personally got the bug back again. For that reason I was pretty late picking up on the Toytoni scandal.

Welcome to the forum!

Have you had much in contact or to do with Toni when you are at snoopers?

Thanks for the welcome pizzathehutt! I can't say I've had many dealings with Toni - initially I think I avoided him as I thought he might (quite rightly) have the hump with a new guy selling similar toys! Eventually we did get on speaking terms - I bought and 'upgraded' MOC figures from his cabinet plus even exchanged one nice piece I'm now regretting...I always assumed he had the foresight to buy this stock in bulk, especially given the context of other similar period sci-fi toys - ET, Dune, Terrahawks etc. I did gather his passion wasn't for SW but earlier sci-fi toys.

I've not been aware of him for sometime, not that he ever has hung around much as his space is small and can't warrant much attention. My own involvement with Snoopers has taken a back seat due to family matters the last couple of years, so I'm a bit out of the loop anyway though that'll hopefully change in the new year.

Thanks JuniorChubb!

I doubt its been affected much, if at all ,to be honest. Brighton is a busy tourist city and such is the general appeal of what I sell - a mix of old and new plus the gift end of SW memorabilia - I'd imagine 99% of customers wouldn't be aware of any controversy. We're a pretty select band considering how popular SW is!
