I recently got this Han Bespin. The bubble is still there, but is pretty much unattached. Would anybody recommend reattaching it at all? If so, what would be the best way of doing it, without it looking bad. There is no footer piece though. Anyway, thanks for any advice, cheers.

Hi bud

Take a look at this, Barry (X Pack) put this great thread up a while back.

I'm sure some of the guys will chip in with advice.

I too have resealed a couple of lower budget pieces, and used double sided tape to great effect, displays well and you can take off the bubble in the future if you wish.

Thanks for that help. I will have a look at that thread. Im not sure whether just to leave it as it is, rather than risk damaging it more. Thanks again for the reply.

If you have never done one before then tread carefully ...or don't bother at all. Personally I would use PVA with that one, but only if the card is dead flat. Beware though - they are easy to **** up. Because your bubble will have the original print on it I would steer clear of the double sided tape route. You want to keep all the originality you can.

The trickiest bit with sticking an original bubble back on is lining up the print. PVA buys you time. From there you have to somehow weight the bubble down all the way round and leave it over night.

DO NOT use superglue or sellotape!

Hope that helps

Cheers again aussiejames. Actually I had a go at it last night, sounds awful, I used pritstick, managed to make a fairly good/ish job of it. Not bad, well not as bad as some of the awful ones Ive seen. I didnt put a footer inside. Will put a pic up in a bit. Cheers for all advice.

I think this looks ok, bit out on the bottom right corner, much better than just being sellotaped on, which it was prior to this. Shame about the small tape tear, dont know if I would do it to any others I have. Ive got a Luke Bespin that only has the left hand side of the bubble still attached.

Yeh that looks ok. Resealing can be frowned upon, but it's debatable. It's an original card with the figure and bubble at the end of the day. Should make a nice displayable piece

Thanks x-pack. It was barely attached, I think it looks ok. I bought a few like this, still unsure as to whether I will reglue the Luke Bespin.
