There are also paperbacks for all 3 films plus a omnibus paperback of the first few issues and an epic scale version of the first stories.

Will post pictures tomorrow. Also doing a special on UK Narvel items for the podcast.

Here you go:

The ROTJ is standard UK comic size.

You can see the scale of the large one and the paperback version.

Don't forget;

Droids comic reprints in Marvel Bumper Comic 14 - 25
http://www.rebelscum.com/marvelcomics8.asp

Also;

American format Star Wars comic (cover price 12p) 1 – 6 (I have never come across issues 1 and 6).

The Empire Strikes Back Annual no.2 was the only U.K printing of "Crimson Forever" until ROTJ Weekly featured it.

The Spiderman and Zoids comic was the only U.K printing of the USA Marvel annual no. 3: "The Apprentice".

I was disappointed at the time that Spiderman and Zoids did not conclude the actual Star Wars storyline that was cut short in ROTJ Weekly. I had to seek out the American comic to find out how the story ended.

I thought it got silly towards the end. The Luyima story was really good but when the insect people got involved and the artwork got poorer I lost interest and bought the plastic Panini football cards...

Yeah, I agree with that. I didn't like many of the stories as they seemed to be aimed at small children but I suck with the comic though.

I took a picture of my American monthlies priced in pence. I wonder if issues 1 and 6 were ever made because they have not turned up in all my years of collecting.

Craig.

So what are the rarest UK Star Wars comics? I know a few with gifts comnand a premium, but an idea of which ones would be good. I own the first Star Wars with gift, but dont know if my ROTJ with free ewoks transfers are worth anything? It would be nice, because it would give me the cash to buy that near complete collection im talking about buying :D

ROTJ Weekly Issues from 120 onwards seem to be the most difficult to find, probably because they were being produced in fewer numbers and less people collected them. The later issues of ESB Monthly are toughies also. I couldn't put a figure on the issues with free Ewok stickers – it would be worth giving them a run on an auction site.

I'm envious if you have a chance at grabbing a near complete collection, especially if it runs to the end of ROTJ Weekly.

Incidentally I have hundreds of spare Star Wars U.K comics, from good condition to very poor if anyone needs issues to fill gaps in their collection. I would be willing to sell them fairly cheaply, or trade for issues that I need to complete a mint set. Most of my ROTJ Weeklies are the ones from my youth, so many of them are in dire need of replacement.

I found Star Wars Monthly and the last of the ROTJ. I agree with the above but loads have been on eBay recently.

I picked these up yesterday at a carboot. 60 issues from issue 4 to 150 obviously with some big gaps. Majority in real nice condition.

I have toyed with the thought of collecting all of them, but think it will pose too much of a challenge.

I'll probably be selling them on once I've jotted down which issues I have. Feel free to tell me your wants.

Just bought another six ROTJ comics today, so im down to 13 for a complete run.

Star Wars monthly 160,161,162,164 and 167. I cant see these on Ebay at all. You get different descriptions aswell. Are they actuallu numbered or not? These are HTF to me :) unless im getting mixed up with them being specials?

ROTJ comics needed 138,139,141,145,150,153,154,155 . I know these are toughies, and ive seen some for £20 each or BO on the bay, which seems a bit steep unless they do go for that.

Lee, these are the exact same ones that I had issues (pun) getting.

It does seem that these come up a lot less.
