Yet again some great pick ups, loving the selection of different card backs.

This is my latest (and will be for a while :( ), really pleased to have picked one of these up for my focus.

EP DT Luke Farmboy

It's not often I feel compelled to throw around platitudes but I love this piece - many congrats on the acquisition Aaron.

Thank you Christian :) (I had to google platitudes! )

Glad you like it poncho

When my old dear heard I was finally cataloguing my childhood vintage collection, she disappeared upstairs, came back and presented me with this... one she'd bought for herself back in '85 because she liked Yoda so much... Speechless! Nice one mum.

i've never showcased any of my cardback collection on SWFUK, but i thought i'd make the exception with this card ;)

while i have some hard to find cardbacks in my collection (http://starwarscardbacks.tumblr.com), this is one of my real favourites :D

Hi Jonathan, wow fantastic Yak card, I think you should show all your stuff on the forum

been busy running 4 shows in 4 countries in 4 weeks so just had time to down load my photos and some of the things i bought on my travels , one thing that people on here are going to love is this a 1985 toyshow display for that years figures

i saw this in a photo take at the time around 15 years ago then about two year later i saw a picture of it in a house in someones collection i could not tell if it was a child's collection or a collectors display then nothing till last week then it came up for sale and i knew what it was as soon as Mark told me about it , i had to have it , something i thought might have been lost or destroyed years ago but no it survived :)

its british its a promo item and its Palitoy , it dose not get any better than that for me , now to start to restore it to its former glory

the last bit of info came from its owner of 18 year that said it came from a Manager of a John Lewis the shop was sent this to use for a big display one year and after it was used he took it home for his kids then it was no longer wanted this collector got it around 18 year ago.

it still has the Han in Carbonate case on the wall in the palace part the only figure part to still be attached , now i have to buy loads of figures to put them back on after it is restored , i have to to also try to work out what vehicles that was on it also ? there is a Sarlaac pit on there so i am wondering as it was for toy fair if it had the vehicles that had not come out here ? as this would have been for the year coming ??

if anyone has photos of it at toy fair that would help a lot , i have see images of it there but i cannot remember who had them and i did not get a copy of them it was around 15 years a go ?

enjoy and if anyone has photos of its early life i would love to see them thanks

jason

Hi Jason, wow fantastic display you have bought

Super Luke EP Aaron....

That display is brilliant Jason. A real piece of SW history. :D

Something quite different for me today. I've always liked the look of Film Cells so decided to pull the trigger on a few original 1977 cells. Have a good few but here are some of my favourite. I have slide mounts on the way to display them properly.

Leia in the control room. Really like this as it reminds me of the cardback

A few X Wing cells including Red Leader. I really liked the shot through the cockpit 8)

Hi Jeff, wow those film cells are awesome 8)

Need to share this one as it really is the last 'figure' i needed to finish the full house and here it is. To be fair the set is quite beat up, the box is tatty and there is conciderable lifting on the bubble, not to mention the yellowing, but somehow it looks great and i couldn't be happier to have the run finished now.

Lots of good pick ups. Not put mine on here for a while.

Bargain Palitoy die-cast Millennium Falcon - resealed but looks great:

This is an upgrade from LeeG:

Finally got one of these, he's been a tough cookie to get, it needs to be properly resealed and a footer adding:

And finally completed the first 12 Palitoy figures. It's missing the footer and it's completely resealed so god knows how I'll get it in!

Fantastic news on completing the 12 back run Stevie and that Han's a belter! DSC looks great and I noticed the price that the rebel commander went for the other day, great price and glad you got it. I still don't understand why the figure has a tash and the picture doesn't and I'm also still fighting the urge to expand on my 30 backs but I think enough is enough for me.

All that Palitoy goodness is great to see in one hit and just love those die cast bigger boxed vehicles. :D

After taking a punt on a General Mills Han Bespin last week, which ended up being a Toni I splash out and got the real thing.

As well as the 41 back Han I also received a 32 back IG88 I've been awaiting a couple of weeks to arrive from the states. Not only did I get screwed on import duty, the base of stem of the bubble was cracked, nothing major but a little disappointing. Hopefully I can get some money back off the seller.

These are 2 figures I've coverted carded for years and it's thrilling to finally own them.
