As part of my clear out, I will also be selling off my cardbacks (mostly Palitoy, I think Jason & I must have had some ebay auction battles in the past!)

What kind of premium is there (if any) for original bubble still attached to the cards?

Sweet. I won't ask how you've managed to acquire so many cardbacks with the bubble attached!
They're definitely worth more than just mint cardbacks. Your best bet is to find the figures, weapons and footplates
and make reseals yourself, you'll get more for them.

Price wise, the 12 backs and 20 backs have been going nuts recently with Luke 12 backs in not mint condition
fetching round the £100 mark on several occasions. Check out ebay completed listings to see what I mean.

Those 30 ben kenobis are faitly rare, and you have 2 that would make nice reseals. I have a reseal of that myself.

Good luck with your sales!

What Jason said! Prices for Palitoy cardbacks are a bit silly at the moment - all the better for you!

I've just sent you a PM re sales. The ones I'm interested in are: R2D2, Han Solo (12 backs); Luke X Wing, Snaggletooth (20 backs); Bossk, FX-7, Rebel Soldier, Luke Bespin (30 backs) and lastly Boba Fett (41 back)

Right, I'm off to arrange a loan!

Such a great sight to see! :D

I know you'll do very well with them and I've sent a PM for the other FX-7 and White Bespin Guard.

You have some great looking cardbacks. I agree with jason's advice. Though I'd imagine as they are, they'd still do ok.

Hi Jason

Actually, I managed to pick up a large proportion of them in a single visit! I was collecting one of the IG88 cards on the way back from work, and ended up purchasing the rest of the guys collection while I was there, opened cards, figures & weapons and some loose vehicles, a nice hall (though bringing them home on the train in London was a bit difficult!).

I have a number of loose figures & weapons etc, which would do the job, but didn't know if I would be better letting the new owners add their own figures?

Might also have a small number of footplates from my other palitoy cards, nameplates removed, but some with bubbles still attached (was going to list them separately).

Defiantly worth putting the figures in and selling them as reseals, if you are missing the footplates, you can leave them out or make new ones by using the coloured area behind the bubble on cardbacks with matching bubble colour. It's what I've done on some of my reseals. Just make sure you disclose in the description and you should be fine.

Nice run of card backs there David!! Makes it a bit more special that you have the bubbles and footers etc :)

Yeh I'd take Jason's advice and make up some really good reseals. What with the astronomical prices of the 12 & 20 backs these days and the rarity of many of the Empires people are settling for reseals! A superior reseal ie one that has all original parts and is sealed up so neatly that it looks factory original will do well :!:
You maybe surprised at some of the prices you will get for some of them as apparently a clean reseal 30 back LXW sold for 1000 euros a few years ago
Still trying to get my head round that one
