Hi Guys,

Looking to get some rough valuation advice on this.

This has been at some stage folded, I bought it rolled and it has stayed that way for the past 15 years or so. It has never been displayed.
There are some small tears, mainly on the left edge of the poster, however these do not really have much impact to the overall poster.

Anyway just looking to get rough opinions on this for the time being.

Cheers,
Craig

Hey
That looks like a UK quad but you will need to provide dimensions to confirm for a better valuation. The UK quad should be 40"x30" but in the 80' some of these were cropped to fit billboards so it could be 40"x27".

The Uncropped is worth a little more than the cropped version, but I susspect it is not a huge difference. Sadly the folding and the tears will affect value. A nice minty one of these might cost £150ish I would say this might be down around the £100ish mark, give or take, that folding is a real shame and the tears will put off a few people, that said the tears shouldnt really show once framed and hung but the fold lines will always show.

It is a lovely image though. If you look to sell you might want to think about how, unless you do a lot of poster business ebay isn't great as there are so many fakes etc. people tend to stick to more known vendors, there are a few guys here who love posters so I would look at a direct sale. There are also a few online dealers etc. that you can use for research, but dealer prices tend to be a little higher that a private sale, mostly they will say to cover overheads.

Nice poster though and best of luck if you do sell.

Good answer.

Yep, excellent answer and as always the in-depth knowledge is greatly appreciated. It is the 40"x30" version. For now i will probably put it up for trade with the rest of my stuff and in time maybe put a price on it for sale.

There is a similar one on ebay at the mo, without the folds and 27"x40", that i will keep my eye on.

Thanks again for the input guys.

Hi Mate, your best bet would be to take a few pics and post it here to get some opinions from people with a better knowledge than mine. I reckon my one judging by opinions and a few recent ebay auctions I have watched is worth maybe 100-120. But cant really compare prices without pics, measurements and a rough description of condition.
