Hi all,

What's the rarest toy you bought at the time it came out and do you still have it?
Mine is this Ulysses 31 robot:

Bought him on a rare trip to London in Hamleys in '85 or 86, I don't think many other toy shops picked up this line. I bought the Elios ship at the same time, don't know what happened to that but this little dude survived pretty much intact apart from some of his arm attatchments which went missing along the way.

If any one has any of the other toys from the line I'd love to see pics :)

A Palitoy Vinyl cape jawa.......It's debatable if it was Palitoy (should have kept the packaging!), but I like to think so and it was bought for me in 78. Unfortunately it's long, long gone (but been replaced several times with loose examples)!

I also had a Palitoy fist-fighting Spiderman. The first one I had broke in about 10 minutes because he fell off of my curtain rail. Fortunately my parents took it straight back to the shop and got a replacement because I was so upset about it. I really loved that figure and I'm not sure what happened to it but I have bought a couple of loose replacements over the years, just wished I'd kept the cool packaging (again).

I think that's about it for rare other than the other first 30 or so Palitoy figures including the large head Han Solo. It's funny to think that I ended up being given the two rarest Star Wars figures, I never even knew the pin head Han existed until years later. Maybe all the large head Star wars ones were shipped to Bristol.

I had the Palitoy Fett, which at the time it was bought for me I didn't want it as I had know idea who Boba Fett was!! Left him carded for a few days as I only knew the Star Wars ANH story and Fett had no place in my storyline.

Nothing. I obviously had the original toys but being born in '76 i probably would have started playing with ESB backed. After being involved in collecting i often wonder where all these rare figures were hiding back in the day. God if i could go back i'd search the whole country looking for all the mega rare items.

The toy i had that i wish i'd kept would have been my original Batmobile.

Nothing special but I did have a pop-up sabre R2-D2 as a kid, I think it was the only POTF figure I had.

Loved the cartoon Ulysses. Ace droid.

May fave and not too common toy was the palitoy action force hq. basically a reprinted death star. Wish I still had it. So many great memories. We used to put yoda down the ammo shoot, when he landed on his feet we thought he was using the force.

I had a few of the Last 17 figures, a Denys Fisher Tadis and Doctor (both fell apart!) and a Palitoy talking K9 -all now sadly gone.

I did get, and do still have a mego Force Commander - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/MEGO-MICRONAUTS-FORCE-COMMANDER-OBERTON-AND-STALLION-HORSE-/111001236381?pt=UK_ToysGames_ActionFigures_ActionFigures_JN&hash=item19d830739d

Not particularly rare but bought for me by my grandparents on holiday, and I do still have it!

Yeah I'm ashamed to say I don't remember 'original' action force at all. Looking at what was available there were some absolutly awsome stuff. I always dreamed of having armies of the same GI Joe/AF figs so I can't believe I din't know about them.

I had a lando general and anakin at the time.

Thunderpunch he-man that a relative from France bought for me which I swapped a kid in my class at school for madine, hammerhead and walrus man.

Soundwave transformer.

I also had tons of mask stuff but it all got given away to younger cousins.

I had the Corgi(?) Batman vehicle three pack. Batmobile, Batcopter and Batboat with a tiny little Robin and Batman figure. Absolutely played with it to its demise. A remember the copter blade got broken first and then slowly they all got destroyed.

I miss them :(

I had the Corgi Batmobile 2 pack (GS3). I loved that toy and played with it hard. I've since picked up a nice conditioned boxed one which brings all my childhood memories flying back every time I look at it. You just can't beat those old Corgi toys!

Wow. I want a three pack. How much did you pay for the 2 pack?
