I am looking at a figure at the minute. just concerned about the amount of paint rub on the hands of what is a MOC figure. Has anyone seen this before.....the weapon is taped to bubble so that's not caused it.... :?:
I have contacted seller who says he believes it is factory sealed, well they bought it sold as factory sealed....just something in my gut is telling me walk away :?

If you have ever seen the Palitoy factory video then you will see that these figures were stored in cases so it is possible that they could lose paint before going into the card - the Han Hoth is notorious for paint loss so it is possible - Grant has a Luke Farmboy that is in awful shape but is 100% factory sealed

That said, it is always something to be very wary off when purchasing cards claiming to be fully sealed.

Are you sure its not been undersprayed? I.e. insufficient paint was used to cover the hand in the first place. It can also occur if the figure was at the wrong angle when it was sprayed. Just a thought. Got any better pics?

I've got a MOC Stormtrooper with some paint loss on one hand so as others have said it does happen.

Made me laugh to see the factory worker casually tipping out a load of figures into a plastic crate. You forget just how 'manual' things were 35 years ago :D

It's all the perfect Millennium Falcon boxes at the start that do it for me in that video. There just aren't any left that look that perfect, even an AFA 90 isn't going to be factory fresh. Those MOCs all look better than what you see these days too.
