Hi there mate. TBH your best resource or current price guide is the forums.
Although the Kelleman Book although alittle outdated its still a fantastic and highly recommended book

Thats your best bet really. At the end of the day every price guide is out dated even before it is printed. Because prices and new discoveries happen all the time

Best thing to do is check the completed listings on Ebay and see what things sell for on here and RS - that will give you a good idea of current prices - especially as they tend to go uo and down quite a lot
I tried that but prices varied so much you really couldn't average price like for instance I was selling a lot of adidas star wars and adidas original on ebay I could tell you within £2 what they would sell for But it's loads harder with the vintage figures
