Finally some Star Wars Lego... Don't even have to hide this from the wife, she bought most of it :)
The Palace look great and some cracking looking figures
The Malevelence is going to be big, not sure the scale to the figs will be fantastic, but as i have the cruiser and the venator class from last year this completes the set - now all i need is the time and space to build them...

There is a nice skiff to go with the palace that has a small sarlacc pit wi it but that is it for original trilology in this wave. Everything else is expanded universe, 2 ships or clone wars! A whole lot of ships.
If you go back to the start of the year there was/is a new x-wing , tie fighter, and y-wing and they Are great ships, easily the best Lego have ever made of these. And if you dance the 'collector' end of the market the new R2 is nice and apparently there is a high end B-Wing on the way. Full list of 2012 Star Wars Lego can be found here - http://www.brickset.com/browse/themes/?year=2012&theme=Star%20Wars

For me the slightly random Palpatines Arrest is the next set I want.

Nice haul mate. That palace set looks way better than the first go they had at it.

^ should point out that right now if you order this new stuff from the Spanish amazon site amazon.en then it is almost 35% off RRP including shipping than in the UK. This is where I ordered the palace from and the shipping was fast and good. Ordered the skiff as well but still waiting for that.

As much as I want the new Jabba set I will be holding off. I think the RRP is frigging ridiculous. I was hoping for an RRP of £80, but £120 is just obscene. The skiff looks great and the new Fett is drool worthy for sure.

I am trying to get my back catalogue of minifigures up to date before buying any more current sets.

On a side note I grabbed a POTC Queen Annes Revenge for £60 and a Cad bane speeder for £32 last week. 20% off in Smyths and the sets were reduced before the 20% discount.

Cant wait to build the boat

The new skiff is indeed great and all four figures are among (if not the best) the best figures Lego have done for SW. The Fett is great and the Luke and Lando are perfect, Kithaba is new and the only thing is that his trousers could be a slightly darker red, maybe with a print on them, but that is a small thing.
The Skiff itself is very simple to build but the end result is pretty accurate and by far the best version of this vehicle ever produced by Lego.
The Sarlacc is small, but also good, and yes Boba does fit inside the mouth piece...
Again the full RRP is a bit high, but relative to the line this is one of the best small sets for a while.

Cheers for that dude, I like Fetts' new blaster design, is that black light sabre piece exclusive to the skiff?

I can see this being a popular set to split- I can see the Fett and Lando figures selling for £10-12 each on eBay.

Well nothing to do when the football is on but build Lego (ok i had it on in the background, but it is the wrong shaped ball...)
anyway having built the Skiff the other day the Palace was next, this is massive, detailed and the fig are great. This is easily one of the best models Lego have ever produced for SW (if on the pricy side) but just so, so good.
Enjoy :)

Well, one more SW lego set to share, built this last night - to be fair it is a bit of a let down by Lego standards and it is a Clone Wars set, but anyway...

Been building again. Wasnt able to find a Star Destroyer on Evilbay i liked but did get the old Republic Cruiser. Saddly the seller claimed it was complete, when in fact it was missing 30 peices so not happy there. Fortunatly all but one are avaliable from Lego Direct so they are on the way and i will just hunt around for the sigle brick now missing. Either way it is a nice looking ship. My next plan is to build the more recent Friget version and line them up... (Cheeky spot on the shirtless Darth Maul as well)

Going to have to stop building Lego for a bit - running out of room.
Anyway got the missing parts for the cruiser from Lego and much better now the model is as intended and as i wanted i build the 2011 version tonight to put the two together. Overall, as expected the updated version is a nicer build and a better ballanced model (literallly), that said the comms awray on the older ship looks nicer. But together they look good.
Enjoy

Just thought i would post this one. A few weeks back i posted an image of the built Skiff from this year and while it is great there was an issue with the rear asspect of the craft, namely that Lego just put a rectangle plate at the back. So, three pieces of Lego, around 45p and about 45 seconds later the worlds smallest customisation is born, and one that actually imporves the model no end - If you are going to buy this skiff (and you should) it is worth getting the extra parts to change the back, well worth it.

I feel like the loan poster on this threat right now :)
Anyway another few evenings well spend, unless you are a rebel, then i feel that your slightly small base will be crushed by the on-coming Imperial forces...
These are two older sets, the AT-AT is cracking but i am sure i am behind the curve in building this, the base was a set i hated on sight and only bought because i got it for a good price, but actually having built it now i rather like it, and i will begin attaching other Echo Base sets to it tonight to see where we end up.
