I think this had more to do with Tarkin's death and the fact that he never used a blaster in the movie. And Kenner had plans to release him if the line had continued.

I figured 1988 could be correct since Glasslite really got the licence very late, even when other countries were ending the line. Wasn't Vlix also released in 1987 or 1988?
Yes ... d'oh :p
Thx guys ! I really like vintage, but there is so much you can know about it (and so much more that I don't know). These articles are indeed more directed toward a general audience as an introduction.
Hi everyone !
My first article in a new series on StarWars.com has debuted. It's called The Vintage Vault and it will deal with vintage toys. The first article is about the X-Wing Starfighter.
I hope you're willing to help me out in the future whenever I have questions :)...
Can't have enough love for the Micro Collection :)

I've always liked the 'Droids' and 'Ewoks' lines, but they could have been so much better if all the planned figures had been released. The 'Ewoks' line is rather weird with only two Ewoks and 4 Duloks. Still, they have the same amount of POA than the new 'Rebels' figures have :p
